The Lotus has always been known for its agility in the corners and super car rivaling performance with a V6 engine that trumps everything else with its light weight chassis and incredible dimensions. The car looks smaller in person that you would almost mistake it for a toy car. In this regard, the Lotus Elise is one that is a race worthy and track worthy car that also happens to be road legal. Nonetheless, ever since 1996, when it was initially launched the Lotus was highly respected for the fun little package that it was on the track and on the road. The car is excellent looking and still is modern and fresh in its design with cute and adorable looks. In the city, the lack of electrical assisting on the steering makes it tough to maneuver but once at speeds it is tolerable.
The car is firm but all this comes to make sense when you are on a track or a set of twisty roads. There is a 1.8L Toyota engine on the hood which is supercharged and puts 217hp and 250Nm of torque and that is sent to the rear wheels by a 6-speed manual transmission. On a twisty road, it will turn harder than most cars and brake effortlessly than anything else you have ridden as the car was made to be light and nimble, it truly comes to life on a set of twisty roads.
