Audi debuted the first-ever A6 in 1994 as an alternative to the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Since then, the company has been steadily updating and modernizing the badge to bring it to its present cutting-edge avatar.
Although Audi cars have become quite identical nowadays owing to their design language, the 2019 Audi A6 is still unique due to its departure from previous design ethos. In the UAE, the Audi A6 competes against the BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Jaguar XF, Volvo S60, and Lexus ES.
The most dramatic changes are in the exterior design of the Audi A6. Gone are the curvy headlamps and rounded grille. Audi has never disappointed in the interior department. MMI (Multi Media Interface) is new and improved for 2019, accessed via a centrally-mounted touchscreen. The 2019 Audi A6 in UAE comes with a single powertrain option for now. The A6 55 TFSI trim comes with a 3.0-litre V6 that generates 335hp and 500Nm. Audi electronically limits its cars’ top speed to 250kph, but for some extra cash, you can cap it at 280kph. The stately executive sedan also clocks the ton in 5.1 seconds.
Quattro all-wheel-drive is standard on the 2019 Audi A6 in the UAE, as is a Tiptronic automatic transmission. Audi claims the A6 returns slightly more than 14kpl, rated by EPA.
