As a celebration for 15 years of its V-series model, Cadillac is now launching a limited Pedestal edition models that will be based off the V Coupe and the CTS-V.
The company stated that the bookings for the first lot are set to begin in the first week of November after which it will be officially introduced by the company in 2019. With the arrival of the new edition, Cadillac is nodding farewell to both the ATS-V and the CTS-V models.
The company also clarified that it will be phasing out the whole ATS and CTS lines which will soon be replaced by the CT4 and CT5 lines respectively. Apart from that, Cadillac is also pulling the plug on the ATS sedan. However, fortunately, the replacement models can also be expected to get the performance treatment in an expanded V-Series line-up.
The V-series models were one the most yielding models in Cadillac’s line-up. However, buyers who still like to get a taste of the 15-year-old tradition can have plenty to admire about in the ATS-V and CTS-V Pedestal Editions models, priced onwards of $77,090 for the ATS-V Coupe Pedestal Edition and $102,590 for the CTS-V.
Cadillac’s works on the exterior of the car are finished in a unique hue called Bronze and Sand Metallic. This is complemented by black chrome accents and forged alloys with a dark finish. The Pedestal edition comes with an option of 18-inches on the ATS-V Coupe and 19-inch on CTS-V. Callipers of the Brembo braking apparatus sports a red paint. Both the models come with ample carbon fibre elements including the front splitter, hood vent, rear spoiler and rear diffuser.
Cadillac has taken the exclusiveness inside the cabin with Racor bucket seats, wrapped in leather and featuring micro-suede inserts for the grip. The new car also comes with special badging, carbon fibre dash accents, and a performance data recorder.
The American giant has retained the mechanics on the new edition which comes with the same 3.6-litre twin-turbocharged V6 that puts out 464bhp of power and 603 Nm of torque in the ATS-V and a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 delivering a massive 640bhp and 854Nm.
